Not all eye exams are the same! We call our exams "eye health exams." In our exams you will not only get a prescription for glasses or contacts. We will:

• Perform a wavefront analysis and automatic refraction using the Izon Abberrometer
• Thoroughly screen you for diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disease, multiple sclerosis and brain tumors.
• Perform a computerized visual field test to check the function of your retina and pathway of the optic nerve to the brain.
• Perform an Optomap retinal exam to get an ultra-widefield view of the retina. This can lead to early detection of common diseases, such as glaucoma, diabetes, macular degeneration, and even cancer. This is done to document how structures in your eye look so that any changes over time can be detected.
• Measure your eyes using a computerized corneal topographer to map out your cornea so that the contact lenses will be contoured to your cornea properly.

Our philosophy has been one that detects or prevent diseases early before they get out of hand where costly treatment may be needed.
