Vision Optimized Not Compromised
- Ophthonix, Inc. introduces a revolutionary new approach to customized vision correction. Utilizing wavefront-guided technology, the Z-View Aberrometer measures both low and high order aberrations and generates a fully customized prescription. In the near future, this prescription will be used to produce iZon Wavefront-Guided Eyeglasses and iZon Wavefront-Guided Contact Lenses by Definition. The first fully customized form of vision correction, dramatically improving the quality of a patient's vision.
- The human eye is an imperfect optical instrument and no two are exactly alike. Each person has an optical eyeprint as unique as their fingerprints.
- Today, conventional refraction addresses only 2nd order sphere, cylinder and axis, correcting for nearsightedness and farsightedness, with a one size fits all approach. Additionally, current technology has been unable to separately address high order aberrations, which are unique to each patient. While a patient may see 20/20, their vision is not optimized. They may experience double images, distorted field of view, low contrast, lack of color perception, glare sensitivity, night driving problems, halos/star burst patterns/comet tails around lights at night among other compromising issues.
